Thank you for registering your child or family for GO Graphic.

Before we put you into our billing system, please install Inkscape and confirm that all is well. We don't know anyone who has been unable to install this programme, but we want to know that it is working for you, because you can't do GO Graphic without it!

Go to the Inkscape download page.

Most Windows users will want the "Installer" version. Please note that 7zip indicates a compressed file, and has nothing to do with Windows 7.

Mac users can choose Leopard or Snow Leopard versions. Note that you also need X11 (which is part of XQuartz). You will already have it if you use Gimp on your Mac. Otherwise, download here.

Once installed, open Inkscape. It is quite normal for it to open slowly, especially the first time you use it. Once open, Inkscape should look like this:

Some of the tools are hard to fathom, which is why we're having a course. The star tool is fun and easy - just drag diagonally with the mouse button down:

You should see something like the image above. If everything is working, let us know, and we'll set up your log-in. If you do encounter a problem, let us know, and we'll see what we can do to help.
